Curl pattern on a frontal has to match the bundles behind it in diameter, in density, and in behavior after the first wash. One degree of difference in the curl pattern and the transition line is visible from across the room. Most sourcing problems in curly wig builds do not come from bad bundles. They come from a frontal that was produced in a different batch, on a different curl rod, under a different steam cycle. Curl creates volume. Volume creates lift. And lift is the number one enemy of a clean lace melt – because as the hair moves, it pulls the lace away from the scalp at the edges.
